The purpose of the competition

The competition is designed for young composers, students, schoolchildren, and self-made musicians who create music.

The competition aims to promote the development of youth talents in music direction and popularize their creativity, both in Georgia and abroad as well.

Authorized contestant

In the field of academic and applied composition, the competition is open to musicians from 16 to 40 years who have been awarded composing talent, undergraduate and graduate students of universities accredited in Georgia, as well as schoolchildren.
All three competition areas are valid for participants under 40 years of age. Such a restriction allows young artists to go through the first stages of development with the support and assistance of the Ray Foundation.

Mandatory  documentation

Contestants must submit applications at the email: awards@rayfoundations.com.

The application must consist of

Resume / CV;
Name of the contestant; last name; ID number; Address; Mobile Number; e-mail;
Education;
Experience in this field;
Creative achievements;
Artistic-creative practice;
Participation in festivals, and competitions (name, location, date);
Received awards, recognitions, and scholarships (if any);
The contestant is required to submit his/her works (no more than 3 compositions), both in the field of academic and applied music MP3; WAV; MP4 or other audio and video formats);
Title of the work, genre, duration, as well as notes in PDF format (if available);
For the main stage of the competition, the contestants should send the WinRAR ZIP e-mail to awards@rayfoundations.com and indicate "Ray" in the subject field.

Competition Awards

As a result of the competition, in the first stage, some of the best works will be selected. A maximum of 3 musicians will be awarded.

Stages of the competition

The competition will be held in two stages:

1. Initially, the commission composed of musicians, reviews the submitted applications and selects the best contestants.

2. At the next (main) stage of the competition, the commission will reveal a maximum of three winners.

Deadlines The winner of the competition will be revealed at the end of September 2022.
